1. Explore Waterfront Market

2. Take a snap of Dubai Opera

Since opening in 2016 this stunning dhow-shaped building has been a hub for theatre, musicals, operas, ballet and comedians. Tickets fall out of budget, but it’s worth heading along to admire the building, and having a wander around Burj Park while you’re there.

3. Walk across the bridge to Bluewaters

4. Window shop at The Dubai Mall

Dubai is home to the world’s largest mall, and if you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, be prepared to be amazed at its size. Although you’re on a budget, it doesn’t hurt to window shop at some of the designer stores. You can also take in the sights of the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. 5. Hit out at Jumeirah Public Beach

If you’re looking for a fun and family-friendly beach to visit in Dubai, head to Jumeirah Public Beach. This popular spot offers golden sands, turquoise waters and plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. The playground area is perfect for keeping the kids entertained, while adults can soak up the sun or take a dip in the Gulf.

Looking for an adventure outside of the city limits? Just a short drive from Dubai, you’ll find the Al Qudra cycling track – 86 km of biking fun that is perfect for testing your endurance. You can rent a bike and all the gear you need at Trek UAE, and there’s even a food truck park for when you need a break. The best part? Access to the track is free! You’ll get to enjoy views of the desert dunes as you ride (just watch out for gazelles). All levels are welcome but expect to spend up to three hours completing the course. 26. Capture the city from The Dubai Frame

 Located inside Zabeel Park, the Dubai Frame is a gold-coated, rectangular-shaped structure that stands at a height of 150 meters and is 93 meters wide. The Dubai Frame is shaped in the form of a photo frame and hence is known as the tallest photo frame in the world.

Dubai Frame is known to be a structure that seems to connect both old and new Dubai. This massive photo frame has been positioned in such a way that the old Dubai lies to its north and the new Dubai lies to its south. The bridge at the top of the Dubai Frame gives you an incredible view of the city.

27. Get Closer to the Dubai Fountain

The marvellous Dubai Fountain is more than 900ft in length – that should be the equivalent of two football pitches – and thrusts water into the sky to a range of different songs. The show is free to watch from The Dubai Mall, but for Dhs20 you can visit the Dubai Fountain Boardwalk, which will give you a front-row view of the stunning show. 51. Saruq Al Hadid Archaeology Museum

Discovered in 2002, Saruq Al Hadid is an ancient metal factory that was used between 1300 and 800 BC. It is located in the southern desert of Dubai and many of the excavated items are on display in the Saruq Al Hadid Archaeology Museum. The majority of the objects found are weapons such as swords, axe heads, and daggers.

52. Women’s Museum

The Women’s Museum in the UAE aims to educate and celebrate the accomplishments of local women in a variety of fields. The museum was conceived and financed by Emirati psychiatry professor Rafia Ghubash and occupies three floors of a building called Bait Al Banat (House of the Girls). The name reportedly comes from the fact that the building was the home of three unmarried sisters in the 1950s. At the Women’s Museum, visitors can learn about Ousha Bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, the most celebrated female poet in the UAE, and try on a burka.

53. Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House

The Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House is a stunning piece of architecture that served as the residence for Sheikh Saeed, the grandfather of current Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid. The house contains an excellent collection of pre-oil boom photographs of Dubai, taken in the souqs, on Dubai Creek, and at traditional celebrations. These images offer an insight into the private lives of the ruling Al Maktoum clan. Other rooms in the house feature coins, stamps, and documents dating back to 1791.

54. Majlis Ghorfat Um Al Sheef

Majlis Ghorfat Um Al Sheef is a beautiful and historic vestige of pre-oil times, built-in 1955 as the summer retreat of Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The two-story traditional gypsum-and-coral structure sports a palm-frond roof, a wind tower, and window shutters carved from East African timber. The rug-lined majlis (reception room) is decorated with rifles, daggers, coffee pots, radios, and clocks, offering a glimpse into royal leisure living. The palm garden features a traditional falaj irrigation system.

55. Dubai Marina Water Bus

For a relaxing and scenic spin around the beautiful Dubai Marina, hop aboard the Water Bus!
